Who are we?
FIRST Team 1758 of Florence School District 1
With students from South Florence High School, West Florence High School, Wilson High School, and Trinity Collegiate School, we represent Florence's District 1 Robotics team. Our robotics team members possess expertise in mechanical, electrical, CAD/CAM, and robotic software. FRC Team 1758 comprises the following teams: business, mechanical and electrical, and software programming/coding. While aiming to foster the core values of teamwork, leadership, and experiential learning, FRC Team 1758 aims to develop an environment of mutual aid, positivity, and extended learning.
Our mission
To inspire young people to be science and technology leaders and innovators by engaging them in exciting mentor-based programs that build science, engineering, and technology skills, that inspire innovation, and that foster well-rounded life capabilities including self-confidence, communication, and leadership.
Our Teams
Business
Coordinate social media, events, sponsors and all the resources the team needs.
Engineering
Design and assemble robot components, wiring electrical systems, and ensuring structural integrity.
Programming
Write and debug code to control robot movements, sensors, and autonomous functions.
